Functionalab: A Daily Dose Worth Having

I’ve been hearing about Function Lab for a little while now since they launched at Henri Bendel’s in New York. The range of supplements - although the word ’supplements’ doesn’t do them justice really - targets beauty, health and nutrition. They’ve just scooped a massively prestigious award at Cosmoprof Bologna (the Mecca for beauty buyers to go and see and evaluate new brands for their store or site line up). The Discover Beauty Award is voted for by influential retailers, who are no doubt now snapping at Functionalab’s heels to get a slice of the neutraceutical retail market. The brand was also a nominee in Wallpaper* Magazine’s Design Award, 2010. So, if it looks that good and performs that good, then expect to see this stuff hitting headlines everywhere. It’s launching at Harvey Nichols in May. None of this science based edible beauty boosting comes cheap though - a shot of Beauty Liquid Dose is a cool £6 but does contain collagen, anti-oxidants and hyularonic acid. That said, if you knock back two lattes in a day, thats also about £6 and certainly won’t make you beautiful.
