Ojon launched their newest collection dedicated exclusively to bath and body - Tribal Indulgences Batana in March. According to the company, ” the decadent shower gel and body cream contain our highest concentration of Ojon oil for the skin and is formulated without synthetic dyes, parabens or sulfates.”

The name ‘Batana’ is actually the traditional indigenous word for Ojon oil, which is clinically proven to moisturize dry skin.  The nourishing oil is combined with other unique tribal ingredients like Buriti, Copaiba, Açai and Swa to gently cleanse and hydrate skin.

Overall:  I’m not boasting about Batana

Review:
Ojon Tribal Indulgences has introduced two products infused with batana and buruti oils. When I opened the shower gel, I was immediately struck by a very sweet and nutty smell.  It was stronger scent than I like my products.

When I used the shower gel, I required a lot of the product to spread across my body and work up a good lather.  It’s not a highly sudsing gel and I didn’t find it particularly luxurious, though,  it is gentle and didn’t strip the skin.

I definitely liked the feel of the body cream much better than the shower gel.  Again, it had that same sweet smell, which  I think would compete with any type of perfume or cologne.  But this body cream had a lovely texture and feel.  It felt decadent, it rubbed in easily and I felt moisturized the whole day.  My big test is whether I look ashen when I’m changing to workout 12 hours after its morning application.  It passed my test!  I didn’t need to reapply to still look and feel moisturized.

While I loved the feel of the body cream, the scent is too overpowering for my liking and is strong enough to turn away some potential buyers, including me.  That’s why I’m not bragging about Batana, but if you like your products richly scented, you might just enjoy this line.

Overall:

This line is available from Sephora and contains no parabens, sulfates or synthetic dyes. Not organic; would fall under the “natural” category of product.
