‘Personal care provider Nine Naturals is launching what is claimed to be the first ever hair care line formulated specially for expectant mothers.

Called Oh Baby!, the line consists of a minty shampoo and a conditioner that have been formulated from the company’s principle Nine Naturals range – which is focused on avoiding harsh chemicals and preservatives.

This means that, instead of containing the average 25 different ingredients, the hair care formulations contains just nine principle ingredients, vetted as safe for mothers-to-be.

Free of sulfates, phthalates, parabens and DEA, the range is being launched in retails stores throughout the US from this week.  Its maker says it wants to assure pregnant mothers that they will not be exposing their baby-to-be to any chemicals that might have associations with allergic reactions or are potentially toxic.

The company says that, besides avoiding harsh chemicals, its formulation includes essential plant oils, organic aloe vera and B5 – ingredients that address the specific hair care needs of expectant mothers, wihch often turns dry and limp in the latter stages of pregnancy.’
