Beginning March 29, you can recycle empty cosmetic containers (all brands will be accepted…sans judgment of those past makeup transgressions) at Origins counters and stores- and pick up a deluxe Origins sample while you’re at it! This irresistible deal is part of the new Return to Origins recycling program, established to set an earth-friendly example and send a message about wasteful cosmetic packaging. Even minimal packaging often winds up in a landfill because, face it, lipstick tubes and mascara wands are not commonly accepted in community recycling programs. Origins is stepping in to fix that with a pledge to recycle your empty containers or responsibly convert them to energy when recycling isn’t possible. If you needed a reason to pare down your burgeoning beauty stash, I’d say that this is it!
