High school students, teachers, and community members from around the country converged on LA this weekend to attend the Teens Turning Green Summit. Two days of panels, workshops, strategic thinking and lively discussions were held with visionary eco leaders representing beauty, fashion, politics, science, journalism and the media. The goal was to help to create positive change in lifestyle choices, schools and keep communities free from harmful chemical exposures. Motivated teens were taught how to start campaign chapters in their schools, how to aspire toward an all encompassing eco-lifestyle, become informed consumers, host visible campaigns, lobby for legislation to protect their health, and change their world.
