Joanne tests Shu Uemura Moroto Volume range for Fine Hair.
Shu Uemura’s newest hair collection, enriched with Depsea water, claims to help fine hair to maintain volume and styled shape; offers weightless conditioning; maintains an optimum yet lightweight hydration level to the hair fibre; contains trace minerals such as magnesium to help tone the hair fibre; and imparts a high shine. The fragrance is described as tangerine, watermelon, apple, blackcurrant and pear.
Muroto Volume Amplifying Shampoo:
The bottle is a gorgeous sleek blue plastic tear-drop shape with a flip-top.
I really like this shampoo. For my jaw-length hair I use a 10p sized amount and this is ample. It lathers really well, has a beautful fresh linen smell and does not dry out my over-processed hair. It rinses easily and afterwards, I feel like I have more hair. £20.
Muroto Volume Amplifying Conditioner:
This has a gel-cream consistency, same fresh fragrance and a little goes a long way. According to the instructions, you just apply, massage in and rinse. There is no waiting which is a godsend in the morning. My hair feels conditioned and there is no limpness, I can put a comb through it without hassle and even without styling products my hair looks fuller. Friends and family have remarked on this. £27.50.
Muroto Volume Amplifying Treatment:
It is a translucent blue gel with the same fresh fragrance. The jar states to apply and rinse but the box states to leave on for 5-10 minutes. The treatment clearly makes a difference. My hair looks fuller, feels thicker. One word of caution is that you really have to make sure that this rinsed out or you are left with sticky hair. £35.
Overall, I am very impressed with this collection. My fine, over-coloured hair is soft, shiny and has more volume. It smells great, is simple to use and does not require a huge amount of time. I can use it everyday. It looks great on the bathroom shelf and I only wish it was a little more affordable. I will purchase it.
