Guerlain’s Spring/Summer 09 cosmetic range is one of the best I’ve seen this year - it’s quite simply stunning. Stand out items from the launch include three High Shine Soothing Lip Balms in earthy nude tones that will look gorgeous on anyone, regardless of skin tone, the Tiare flower scented Soothing Moisturising Mist Refreshing Tan Enhancer that cools the skin and intensifies a summer tan and three Mineral Eyeshadows in dusky, muted shimmers. The Moisturising Mist smells so pretty and I’m instantly transported to humid summer days when a cooling spritz is the only thing worth keeping in the fridge. I love the way that the balms are so muted, keying right in to the nude vibe that’s going to be a strong look - they’re made for real women who don’t want to look corpse-like in shades of nude that aren’t wearable anywhere off a catwalk - and instantly flattering and pretty. Although there is a range of three Velvet Matte Glosses, I like the balms so much more for their flexibility and sheen. If there’s one thing to snap up for your holiday make up bag, it’s one of the tinted balms. It’s all available from mid-March.
