…Last week when department stores were giving away free beauty goodies from the likes of Chanel, Clinique and Clarins as settlement of a 2003 lawsuit that had accused them of price fixing. Department stores across the States had to give $175 million worth of products to anyone asking for a cut of the settlement spoils. Restrictions were one product per customer and only certain brand items were available. Surprisingly, it’s reported that there weren’t queues around the block - I expect nobody could quite believe it!
